The Rewatch

 When did the original Jersey Shore premiere? The end of 2009 -- Obama was still president! I was unhappily not single -- but was I so unhappy then? I think the beginning of the end was really 2010. Then most of my thirties was just surviving.  You can tell how much the advent of high quality cell phone cameras have affected the ability of reality tv crews to capture good footage - most of this Jersey Shore car capture stuff is rough and grainy - like from another universe entirely!  I guess a blog isn't quite a journal, I can't just end when I want to without publishing. But I think a start is good and an end can always come later.  I will take a moment to record: what I'm reading ("Kristen Lavransdattir") and watching (Fallout!) and feeling - strong in the face of the storm.
